Wei and Wenxin

Proposal Ideas Singapore

How We Met

On 9th September 2017, I proposed to the love of my life Wenxin Teh.

It’s hardly surprising news- we’ve known each other since we were little kids of ten years old. I can barely recall the times before we got together and it’s become almost instinctive that we come as a package in any conversation. In spite of this, I make it a point to consistently remind myself that like every couple in this world, it takes love, hard work and compromise to build strong foundations to any relationship- and to never take this for granted.

Wenxin always said that she didn’t need a grand proposal to say yes to me, and she’s probably right. We’ve grown so comfortable with each other that there’s never been a shred of doubt in me that this woman is the one that I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. Even so, it is not blind faith nor complacency that would go the distance in a relationship intended for eternity; it is effort, unwavering and consistent effort from both sides that will keep a marriage together. And this is why it’s important to me that I make the start of our adventure together one of the most special days of her life.

I hope you enjoy watching the little show that we’ve put up. It’s the hard work of my brothers Neo Wei Jie, Zi Le Mok, Wu Junhao, Siyuan Wang, Jiatao Hu, Lee Kok Wei, Frankie Butter, Thng Yaowen and all other dear friends and family who want nothing but the best for us. I can never thank you all enough. Video credits to Johna Photography and Wen Pictures Singapore. Vimeo link: https://vimeo.com/241183842

Wenxin, it’s a long journey ahead of us, with better days and worse days, in sickness and in good health. And when we’ve finally reached our destination, I hope to hold your wrinkled hands in mine and thank you for the adventure.
