Trish and Randy

Marriage Proposal Ideas in Our home together

How We Met

I met Randy on August 14, 2007 on the first day of 11th grade when I asked if he wanted to be my 4 o’clock partner. I was instantly smitten by his adorable smile and charm and thrilled when our teacher assigned our first round of clock buddies. We developed a friendship throughout that semester which even led to Randy jokingly proposing to me with a ring pop (remember this – it’s important!).

Where to Propose in Our home together

Shortly after we started dating and began to take on life’s adventures together such as proms, high school graduations, college graduations, Randy moving to Washington, DC and back, first and second jobs, and moving into our first home together. From 16 to 25, a lot has changed – but our love and respect has grown stronger!

How He Asked

On December 31, 2016 we decided we would spend our 9th New Year’s Eve together by going to a nice dinner and then celebrating with a couple of our friends at home for the night. After returning from dinner, we open the door to our house and I was surprised to find several candles lit all around the room and rose petals everywhere along with bouquets of flowers and pictures of us displayed all around the room. Randy turns to me and pulls out a ring pop from his pocket and repeated the first words I said to him 10 years ago in class which were “will you be my 4 o’clock partner?”

He immediately followed with getting down on one knee and pulling out the most beautiful engagement ring asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. It was so hard for me to process what had just happened because it honestly felt like a dream.
