Marriage Proposal Ideas in Valdosta, Georgia

How We Met

Me and Brad had several mutual friends, but somehow never crossed paths ourselves. He sent me a direct message on Instagram one day before he left for a military training, and I wrote him a message back- but found three months later that I never sent it. I thought to myself that it must be too late by now, he HAD to have a girlfriend by then, but I could still try. To my surprise, he replied within minutes! We talked for the remaining time that he was at his training (by now he was teaching combatives). When it was time for him to come home, he tricked me and along with my best friend he planned to come home earlier than expected and surprise me. It was by far one of the best days of my life.. second to when he proposed!

Where to Propose in Valdosta, Georgia

How He Asked

Brad was coming from his current base in Pensacola to visit before thanksgiving and we decided to take fall themed pictures. To prepare, Brad decided he was going to take me to get my hair and nails done so our pictures would turn out perfect. I felt like this was a little suspicious, but he is always so sweet and thinks of others before himself, so I kind of brushed it off. We were supposed to take our pictures in the evening in a cotton field, but for some reason Brad decided we just HAD to take the pictures at an earlier time. Luckily it was a friend of mine taking the pictures so I was able to arrange it. When we arrived we took a few regular pictures, then he leaned in and we took a kissing one. After, he said to me, “that was your last time kissing me as your boyfriend” then got down on one knee and proposed!

It was so perfect and I could not have asked for anything more! He arranged for our families to go out to dinner to celebrate after, and everyone was so thrilled! I can not wait to marry my best friend and take on this crazy life with him by my side!
