Tikshika and Kellen
How We Met
I moved to LA from India in Oct 2013, he moved to LA from Texas in Nov 2013. My first job was as a cocktail server at a bar in Hollywood called Three Clubs. Having worked there a couple of months I became very close to a bartender who eventually became one of my best friends. Her friends would come to visit her and since we both worked the same nights I would be there too. Among those friends was her brother, who turned out to be my best friend, lover, soulmate and the man of my dreams. Having been through a rough past of relationships that involved domestic violence and sexual abuse it was extremely difficult for me to trust or let anyone in. The day he asked me to officially be with him, I told him everything that I had been through because he deserved to know. Not only did he understand my past, he accepted and loved me more for it, knowing that that’s what made me who I am today. That’s when I knew, he was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. We have gone through our share of ups and downs like any other couple but we have always come out stronger and now 2 and a half years later we have made the most amazing memories traveling & experiencing new things together. He has made me a better person and continues to do so. Every day I fall more and more in love with this man who saved me from myself and has given me the kind of happiness I never thought existed. He is a true life knight in shining armor.
How He Asked
One night while we were home watching WWE, one of our most favorite things to do together, Kellen suggested we order some pizza for dinner. When it got delivered, I started clearing the table to make space and bring out some plates, etc. I turned around to see him on his knees with the pizza box in his hand. He opened the box and there it was the most beautiful ring. He told me how much he loved me and what I and our life together meant to him and how he wanted it to be that way not only for just one lifetime but all of them. Now we have pizza and wings for dinner on our wedding day and our song for the reception entrance is the theme song of our absolute favorite wrestler.
