Wedding Proposal Ideas in Nassau, Bahamas

How We Met

We met just about five years ago on a basketball court in Holtsville, New York. That was the day sparks flew and we both knew we were destined for each other. In the few hours we spent with each other that day, we learned that we had so much in common! That weekend we planned to meet up again with a bunch of our friends at a local laser tag arena. My favorite memory from that night was watching Sean in sit, in the pouring rain, in the middle of the Sonic parking lot. I guess you can say our first official date was mothers day of 2012. We went to Port Jefferson for ice-cream and to walk around main street. The following week after his baseball game he asked me out in center field. It was the most magical moment ever!

How He Asked

Sean’s master plan begun when we booked a vacation over the summer. As the months past, I could tell something was up! The day finally came and we begun our journey to the Bahamas! As soon as we boarded the cruise ship, we begun our vacation! It was wonderful! The next day we docked in Nassau. We spent the day at the beach and returned to the ship in the early afternoon for lunch and a nap. Around 3:30 PM, Sean woke me up and told me to get dressed. We had dinner reservations at a restaurant called “Blue Sail” and I was to wear my blue and gold dress with matching flip-flops. Of course, what good of an adventure would this be if we didn’t take a cab ride through the Bahamas. We got to the restaurant and ordered a couple of drinks “before our table was ready”. I wasn’t half way through my passion fruit flavored drink when he said we should take a walk by the water.

Where to Propose in Nassau, Bahamas

We were instantly greeted by a lady who said she was a vacation photographer and would love to take our pictures free of charge! Of course we said yes and I thought nothing of it. She told me turn and face her and look off into the water, then at her and then at Sean who was on one knee waiting to pop the question! I immediately started crying and the rest is history! PS. Sean booked the photographer and they planned out the whole thing together!
