Stephanie and Greg
Greg and I actually went to high school together, but we didn’t start dating until our mid-20s! We reconnected when we ran into each other at my old job. After running into me there, he then took me out for drinks and a romantic dinner at Chipotle (already finding his way to my heart!) and the rest was history! We both lived in North Carolina at the time, and a few months into our relationship, he received a great job offer in Hilton Head, South Carolina. We spent the next few months doing long-distance. Not too long after he moved, I was able to find a job in South Carolina and we moved in together. For almost a year, we experienced the highs and lows, but mostly highs, of living together. It quickly became the happiest time of my life. And then…one warm evening in the summer, Greg and I were going to meet a friend out for dinner in Old Town Bluffton. This was one of our favorite places to go in our quaint little town. When he parked the car, he checked his phone and said our friend texted that he was running late. So, Greg decided we should go for a walk down to the river. Once we got there, I pulled my phone out and started taking pictures of the beautiful sunset. Then, Greg put his arm around me and told me to put my phone away because he had something he wanted to talk to me about. My mind began to wander… But just before I could start collecting my thoughts, he got down on one knee and started telling me how much he loved me and wanted to be in my life forever. Tears started rolling down my cheeks. Of course I said “YES!” and then accidentally gave him my right hand instead of the left! It was the best day of my life! And I cannot wait to marry the man of my dreams!
