Sheila and Justin
How We Met
Justin and I had “officially” met in August of 2011 when I took my sister out to lunch for her birthday through a mutual friend. After trying to convince that mutual friend for Justin’s number and getting nowhere I decided to take matters into my own hands and messaged him a quick, “you’re cute, text me” with my phone number.
A month later Justin asked me to be his girlfriend by writing “GF” in Hershey kisses and playing what is now our song “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not”-Thompson Square. The two of us went on to separate colleges but still made time to see each and every weekend.
In January of 2016 Justin had found and accepted his dream job over an hour away from our hometown and 6 months after I found myself following him to move in to our first apartment together! In January of this year we found the perfect house to rent with our two fur-babies (Naley and Leyton).
How He Asked
Being that Justin and I aren’t surrounded by our friends and family here in Parma I thought it would be a great time to get some family pictures done. I talked it out with Justin and showed him the work of an amazing photographer I had been stalking for the past year and he told me to go ahead and book the session. Little did I know, Justin had emailed her shortly after telling her he wanted to sneak in his proposal. We had started out with the normal “puppy pictures” and once we made our way down to the family orchard, he picked his favorite apple tree while I was trying to round up the dogs. I turned around to see him on one knee asking me to spend the rest of my life with him.
I officially get to marry my best friend!
