Same-Sex Marriage Proposal in Central Park
Today’s same-sex marriage proposal is one I personally can’t wait to share with you. A few weeks back, I was looking for a same-sex couple who could propose on live TV on very specific date. That effort didn’t quite work out, but I did start a beautiful conversation with a woman who was planning to propose to her partner in Central Park a week later.
Here’s their love story:
Angela and Terri through a mutual friend in 2000 and began dating in 2001 while Angela was still in the military. Angela was a Reconnaissance Pilot in the Army and retired in 2007 after 24 years of service. They traveled around the world (Greece, Italy, Spain, London, Canada, Central and South America) and went on many adventures together. They also adopted Mason (born December 2010) in January 2011.
Now that Don’t Ask Don’t Tell was repealed and Maryland passed Question 6 for Marriage Equality, they are getting married! Here is Angela’s amazing proposal to Terri, in central park, with a flash mob dance to the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack.
