Wedding Proposal Ideas in Valas Pumpkin Patch

How We Met

We met my freshman year of college on a tinder, not the most romantic place to meet someone but that’s where we met. I thought he was a little weird so I didn’t really give him a chance. However, one day I decided I would try and he end up not being interested in me anymore. Eventually we decided to meet up anyways. Our first date was at a movie theater and my first impression was how tall he was. He asked me for a hug, so of course I gave him one and we headed to our movie. I was so nervous and I could tell he was to. During the movie he said he was “scared” and held my hand. I thought he was so cheesy but so cute that I knew in that moment had to see him again.

How He Asked

My sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma, decided to do a sisterhood event at Valas Pumpkin Patch in Omaha, Nebraska. I carpooled with three other girls and we decided to check out everything before heading over the hayride that takes us to the Pumpkin Patch. Little did I know they were actually distracting me and sneaking my boyfriend out to the Pumpkin Patch before me. My best friend was also there because she wanted to get cute fall pictures with me, however she was actually there to help my boyfriend. I had no idea and everything just seemed normal to me. Until we took our group picture and every one didn’t disperse right away like normal. They all kind of huddled around me and my boyfriend came around the corner. I was confused at first until I saw the ring box in his hand and I knew he wasn’t there just to hangout with me. He started with “Samantha Elizabeth Russo” and grabbed my hands. He continued his proposal and he started to get teary eyed and next thing I knew we were both crying. He asked me to marry him and of course I said yes, then the cheering from 75 sorority girls was all I could hear next. It was the best day of my life and I wouldn’t change a single thing. I can’t wait to love this man for the rest of my life.
