Saisha and Esmat
How We Met
Saisha and I have known of one another since high school. We went to the same high school in Ann Arbor, MI (Pioneer High School) however, we did not communicate with one another because we were in different circles. In the summer of 2013, after we had all graduated from the universities we went to, I was throwing a party at the summer house that I lived in. She happened to stop by for the after party, and when I saw her I became mesmerized. This ensued into a year and a half long process of me courting Saisha for her to become my girl. In the summer of 2015, we finally became official and in February of 2018 I proposed to her.
How He Asked
I knew I wanted to propose to Saisha months before the proposal happened. I had first talked about it with my parents during Thanksgiving of 2017 and they were ecstatic. So when I returned home from Thanksgiving break I reached out to Saisha’s mom and got the seal of approval. We then began to plan how I would propose and what type of ring I would buy. Knowing how important family and our small circle is, I knew Saisha would most appreciate this special moment being with her family. That is how I came up with the idea of inviting all of her family over to her mom’s house for a family dinner. I wanted our siblings to a part of the proposal so I had her 2 brothers and one sister, as well as, my younger sister to wear the shirts that spelled out, “Will you marry me?”. Within 5 minutes of us entering the home and everyone trying to distract Saisha so our siblings could get in position, I dropped to one knee and popped the question.
