Rosie and Justin
How We Met
Justin and I met on a dating app…tinder. I used to be embarrassed by that detail but now I’m so thankful and found the love of my life! How could you be embarrassed by that? I do feel like I got lucky though. Justin the most loving, caring, and kind person that I know. On the app I was immediately drawn to his sweet smile and he liked all of my adventurous pictures like one of me driving a boat. We texted on the app for a few days and then we decided to meet up. We got ice cream at 21 choices in Pasadena, CA. We sat on a nearby bench and talked for hours. It felt like we had been friends for such a long time and he knew how to make me laugh. Everything about our first date felt so comfortable and I knew that I wanted to spend more time with him.
How He Asked
Justin and I had been planning to take a trip to Europe for months in which we would travel to multiple countries in a little under 3 weeks. Secretly I had hoped that Justin would propose on this trip but I also knew that he needed a little time to save for a ring and didn’t want to get my hopes up. Little did I know before we left Justin has already asked for my dad’s permission and his mom gave him a family ring that she had been saving. I had no idea what was about to happen. Our first stop was Germany and we had an amazing time but still no proposal. Our next stop on the trip was Switzerland. We only had a few days there so we packed our days. On the last full day in Switzerland we decided to hike through Lauterbrunnen and take a gondola up to Murren. Justin kept insisting that we find a bench to take a break and “make out” but it had to be the perfect spot. Finally we find a bench with a gorgeous view of the Alps and we were all alone. After we finished a quick snack, Justin started to tell me how much he loved me and how he wanted to spend his life with me. My heart dropped because I had no idea that he was planning to propose! He got down on one knee and of course I said yes. Luckily, a group of hikers came by to snap a picture of us and our happy tears! It was perfect and everything I could have hoped for.
