Renee and Nico
How We Met
Nico and I met in high school about 9th grade at 14, he was in the band I was in the color guard. From practices, competitions, long bus rides we became good friends. He started to hang out with my group of friends more on the weekends. We became good friends first and then started to like each other. From the time we met he would always make jokes and try to get my attention. He always stuck out from anyone else. From there 11 years later here we are finally Engaged!
How He Asked
We planned our usual trip to Disney for Christmas time because we’ve never been for Christmas. Nico surprised me a couple day before and told me he got us a limo to the airport. (which worked out well because his parents were “working” and my parents were “away for my Dads job”) The first night in Orlando we hungout and went to dinner went back to our resort and relaxed, we knew we had a long day ahead of us. Saturday Morning – 12/03/16 We woke up early got ready for the day I took my time as usual Nico headed down to get us breakfast, he came back to the room and just paced as I got ready and ate ( he didn’t eat or sit down the whole time.) Finally we headed to Magic Kingdom, we stopped in Starbucks the line was so long. I waited about 5 minutes Nico asked me to wait online while he went to the bathroom. When he came back he no longer wanted the Starbucks.
We headed down main street to take pictures in front of the castle, we searched for a good 5 minutes for a photographer to take our picture. We finally found one as were waiting in line to take just a normal picture in front of the castle so I thought. Nico hands the woman his phone, and asked her to take another picture. People online were so mad because we were taking so long. He asked her to take one more as he got down on one knee.
He looked at me with a big smile on his face and asked if I was surprised, he didn’t say another word after that we just cried and hugged. As the photographer was taking pictures of us I heard people behind us I turned around to see both of our parents with signs saying “will you marry me” I have never been more surprised in my life. It was every part of perfect and anything I could of ever imagined.
