Paige and Alan
How We Met
Alan and I met working at a restaurant in North Carolina. I was not immediately interested, but he quickly won me over with his charm. 8 months of dating later, we got the opportunity to move to Glacier National Park in Montana. We were nervous about taking such a big step, and being so far from our friends and family, but we decided we would regret not going. It took no time for us to fall in love with the west, and with the adventurous spirit we brought out in one another.
Summers were spent hiking, kayaking, and riding horses. Winters were all about skiing and falling more in love every day. Alan has helped me become my best self, and we have shared so much together! Road tripping across the country to different National Parks, and going on beach vacations to Jamaica and the Virgin Islands; I couldn’t imagine a better partner.
How He Asked
Alan and I moved to Steamboat Springs, CO for the foreseeable future and planned an overnight backpacking trip in the nearby Zirkel Wilderness. The goal was to climb Mt. Zirkel, the highest mountain in the area. We camped surrounded by amazing wildflower meadows, alpine lakes and gorgeous mountains. The next morning when we made it to the summit Alan got down on one knee with our GoPro capturing the moment!
It was perfect!
