Nicole and Shane
How We Met
Shane and I have known each other since primary school. We grew up in the same home town. High school came around and Shane being 4 years older then me left primary school to begin high school, we never seen each other again.
I started a new school and became best friends with a girl who also lived in the same Home town as me.
One rainy night she told me to “sneak out” and meet up with her and a few friends. Never doing this before in my life, I nervously snuck out to meet her. To my surprise her friend she was with was Shane. That little boy from Primary school that i remember. At the same time we look at each other and said each other’s name and laughed. We still remembered each other after 10 years. We became best of friends. I was 15 he was 19. Shortly after we got to together. 7 years later his still my best friend and my lover.
How He Asked
My dream has always been to visit the Eiffel Tower, since I was a little girl. For our 7 year anniversary I decided to organise a trip to Europe. Paris being our first stop to celebrate 7 years together.
The day of our anniversary we went out to explore Paris. We had a lock engraved with a quote we have been saying since we were kids, that we will be together “forever endeavour”. We locked our love away on a bridge in Paris and threw away the key. He surprised me with Christian louboutin shoes for our Anniversary and a new Louis Vuitton bag. My day couldn’t get anymore better!
Later on that day Shane made us a dinner reservation at a fancy restaurant on champs élysée. After dinner we walked to the Eiffel Tower, it was my first time seeing it light up at Night. I was so excited! Standing there in my Christian louboutin shoes we gazed at the Eiffel Tower in amazement. I felt like I was in a fairytale. Shane looked into my eyes and told me how he has never loved anyone as much as he loves me and he can’t wait to spend the rest of his life with me, before I knew it the love of my life was down on one knee and asked me to marry him. With lots of tears and a little “happy feet” dance I screamed YES! As soon as he put the ring on my finger the Eiffel Tower had started to sparkle. My fairytale proposal finally came true! A moment I will never forget!
