Wedding Proposal Ideas in Centennial Park Munster IN

How We Met

We met on St. Patrick’s day and on our 1st anniversary we went to Chicago to see the St. Patrick’s day parade and to celebrate. We started talking about the idea of getting married about 6 months into our relationship and he asked me to show him rings that I liked. While in Chicago he made the day all about me and took me to all my favorite places. We walked Michigan Ave., got our sweet tooth fix at Dylan’s Candy Bar, got a drink at Margarittaville at Navy Pier and we even stopped at build-a-bear. After spending the entire day in the city we stopped at our favorite park close to home (centennial park, Munster IN). It was late at night already but we weren’t ready for the day to end. We stopped at a metal sculpture titled “friendship” where I have him his anniversary gift, a wallet with an engraved metal card. We kept walking where we finally stopped at the main water fountain and talked for a while. It started to get cold and I asked if we could go and he said hold on. He reached into his pocket got down on his knee and I immediately started crying. He proposed right in front of the fountain. I asked if he was serious cause I was so shocked. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was an incredible day with an even better ending. That’s how he asked and we just had our wedding on September 2, 2017.
