Moriah and Ryan
How We Met
Ryan and I have been friends since junior year of high school! We both loved in a small town in east TN! Ryan and I were always really good friends but we didn’t become really close until a couple of years after we graduated. I moved to Nashville, TN IN 08-09 and once we were apart we couldn’t stand it! We became extremely close in 09 through texting and chatting. I would visit home and it would become very difficult to say goodbye to my friends but especially Ryan! I moved back home in 09 and we have been inseparable ever since!
How He Asked
The weekend was set for my friend and I to visit Biltmore in Asheville, NC!
She had never been so I was very excited for her to see one of my favorite places! When we arrived at Biltmore that Saturday afternoon my friend had me going all over the place! We were down at the fountains when she “remembered” she didn’t get a picture with the statue Diana, which was in the opposite direction of the house up a hill!
We made our way back to the statue to take pictures. As we were taking our photos I could tell my friend was acting odd and on her phone a lot, I was trying to act goofy with the statue to cheer her up! So we turn around to head back to the house and I see two men holdin a sign that says Marry Me and a man on his knee. I grabbed my friend and said “oh no Sarah we are in the middle of someone’s proposal!” And then it hit me, “is this for me?”
I couldn’t get to him soon enough, I started running down the hill, well more like a light jog! Once I got to Ryan he was so nervous he was shaking! He asked and I said yes!
The two men holding the marry me sign were my very best best best friends who had moved to VA!
Everyone had planned this just for us and it was a beautiful and amazing surprise!!
