Morgan and Matthew

How We Met: Matt and Morgan’s love began when they were both attending Trabuco Hills High School in Orange County, California – but they weren’t high school sweethearts.  Their paths just seemed to keep crossing, and Matt was always Morgan’s knight in shining armor.  The first time was at the prom.  They weren’t each other’s dates, but Matt ended up coming to Morgan’s aid after she passed out from a combination of not eating and a prom dress that was way too tight!

That was the first time Matt undressed Morgan – sort of – when he unzipped her dress and helped her to breathe.  Another time at a party, Morgan became sick, and even though they had not come to the party together, Matt ended up being the guy who held her hair while she threw up.

With all of these kinds of stories behind them it was probably good experience, because on their first official “date” a driver ran a red light and hit them in an intersection, totalling Matt’s car and sending both Matt and Morgan to the hospital.

Matt helped to take care of Morgan after the accident, and since then the two of them have been inseparable.  They are truly each other’s best friend, as well as having the most amazing fairy tale romance ever.

How He Asked: Matthew, proposed to Morgan on “Slurpee Day” 7/11/2015.  Matthew had previously sang, toured, and performed with The All-American Boys Chorus for five years, from the time he was 10 until he was 15 years old.  When he decided to propose to Morgan, the girl of his dreams, he knew that he wanted to include the Chorus.  After thinking and planning for nearly a year, Matt was able to coordinate it with the Chorus, and make it reality.

The end result was truly magical!  On Saturday night, July 11, 2015 – after hearing her name called as the winner of a fake raffle, a completely unsuspecting Morgan was escorted onto the stage of the Barclay Theatre at the University of California Irvine, in front of hundreds of concert goers who had come to see the AABC’s annual summer concert, to collect her “prize”.  Little did she know that what she actually “won” was Matthew’s heart; and what she got was a HUGE surprise!

Matt, along with the All-American Boys Chorus, performed Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, for Morgan – in front of several HUNDRED concert goers.  His performance was followed by the most sincere and heartfelt words, after which Matt dropped to one knee and asked Morgan to marry him.  Her sweet response was punctuated by the Boys Chorus singing the Hallelujah Chorus!  It was truly the most amazing proposal ever!
