Molly and Coleman
We’ve been best friends for years. What was the greatest friendship I’ve ever had, eventually turned into the sweetest relationship. We always said when we were friends, “If we’re both not married at the age of 30, let’s marry each other.” Who knew we’d be engaged a few years later!
On March 10, 2015 He picked me up at 5:45..our reservation was at 6:00. We ate, talked, and laughed at dinner that night, just like every other date we’ve been on. After which, we decided to order some dessert. Once we ordered the (very dim) restaurant was suddenly filled with light. Our waiter walked up and set a vase with gorgeous roses in it on the table..I was still completely unaware of what was going on, and my (now) fiancé played right along. The piano player (who was actually a friend of Colm’s) had been playing sweet, romantic songs all night..yet another thing I hadn’t caught onto. Our waiter then brought out our dessert. I looked down and noticed that the plate didn’t look how it was supposed to. The cake was missing! But sitting in the cake’s place was the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen. The plate read “Will you?” in chocolate. Beginning to realize what was actually happening I began to cry. The joy I felt in that moment was indescribable. He got down on one knee and said, “Will you marry me?”
All at once it was like every prayer I’ve ever prayed had been answered. I squealed a big “YES!” and jumped into his arms. It was only then that I realized there was a photographer there capturing the best moment of our lives! I was elated!! Everyone there celebrated with us by shouting and yelling congratulations. We then went back to his house where our closest friends and family were waiting for us. They surprised us with the greatest engagement party imaginable! I could never out into words my love for Coleman. I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with my very best friend! Since the proposal, I’ve found all I can do every single day is rejoice and thank the Lord for having favor on me and giving me this sweet blessing of a man as my husband.
