Meghan and Blake
How We Met
Blake and I grew up in the same hometown, yet we didn’t date until we were hundreds of miles apart. One summer when we were both home visiting, we both happened to be on our local lake and were introduced through mutual friends. We met, started going on dates, and from that day on we have been inseparable. After that summer, I returned back to college for my senior year and we decided to date long distance. After many road tripsand daily FaceTime calls, we knew that life will always be better together. Now that I’ve graduated, we have both moved back to out hometown, and are proof that sometimes you can find your hometown love from far away.
How He Asked
Blake proposed to me at a marina on the local lake we met on. The dock was completely private and it was just the two of us (and a photographer). He decorated the dock with lights and pictures of us together, and asked if I would marry him. I obviously said yes! After the proposal we went up to the Chateau and had a private dinner with our families. It was a beautiful, perfect, intimate evening.
