Monica and Vladimir's Proposal at Whole Foods
My fiancé and I have a rather interesting story of how we met – we met at the grocery store… at our local Whole Foods to be exact. And that was only the beginning of our organic love story.
Vladimir saw me in the store and made sure to get in line behind me at the cashier, which was where he led in with “so do you always shop all organic?”
From that point on, we were inseparable.
How he asked: Fast forward a little over a year – it was January 7, 2014. Vladimir calls and asks if I want to go to dinner with him.
He swings by my house picks me up and on the way he asks if I wanted to stop by Whole Foods for a little snack from the Whole Foods bakery because he was starving.
This was not unusual for us to do, we always popped in their for a snack from the bakery, so I didn’t think anything of it.
Once we get to the bakery section I hear an announcement over the loud speaker, “Monica and Vladimir, please report to cash register two.”
Suddenly I realized we weren’t there for a snack. We walk over to the cash register where we first spoke at and there were rose petals all around and John Legend’s song “All of Me” was playing.
Right then and there, Vladimir got the intercom from the manager and said, “You changed my life when I met you here on October 7, 2012 and I asked “do you shop all organic?” So today I’m asking you…. Monica, Will you marry me?”
