How He Asked

We have 5 years and 7 months of dating. We both, like any other couple, talk about marriage but didnt feel ready since I was in my last semester of college and he was stressing financially with his job. Then BAM! AT THE VERY EXACT DAY we BOTH got offered very well jobs. I got a job of the career that I was studying for in college and he got a job at a power plant. Then we both changed our perceptive of marriage. Fast foward to January, I overworked in 2 weeks and my supervisor told me to have that Saturday off. I usually work in weekends and havent had a Saturday off in 4 months. As soon as I told Marcos that, he quickly suggested for us to go to San Antonio. Now keep in mind that even though we have a very long time together, we have NEVER left our town for dates. Why? I have very strict parents. So I told him that I would have to ask my parents and for him to get ready for a “NO”. Surprisingly, they said yes! At that moment I knew something was up haha. We live about 3 hours away from San Antonio so the whole way over there I was very nervous cause I had a very strong feeling that he was gonna propose to me. And to be honest, I didnt want him to. I really wanted to enjoy our very trip without feeling nervous. When we got to San Antonio, we had the time of our lifes! By far the best date in my life. It started to get late and I had too much fun that I didnt notice that he hadnt even proposed. On our way back I fell asleep. When I woke up, I was already at my house. I grabbed my stuff and went to my room. When I opened the door, I saw balloons and rose petals EVERYWHERE. Then our song came up. “I dont wanna miss a Thing.” The video of me balling my eyes out went viral. I ugly cried so hard. He got on his knee and asked me to marry him. I jumped and said yes!
