Logan and Alex

How We Met

Our story began like all great love stories do, at a pool party at Post Chastain. Logan and I both moved to Atlanta in the summer of 2010 and met shortly thereafter through our mutual friend, Courtney Lacher. To say it was love at first sight would be half true… We quickly became friends and, after many failed attempts, I finally convinced Logan to go to my work Christmas Party in 2012. I asked her in October… I’m nothing if not persistent and prepared.

Having built a friendship first we quickly developed strong feelings for one another. We enjoyed many nights out on the Buckhead social scene, as well as quiet nights in watching the Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy with our two crazy pups, Brady and Reese.

We dated for over 4 years, attending no less than 20 weddings of our close friends and family. Love you all, but man it’s been a lot. I do have to give her credit – although she liked to bring it up from time to time Logan was great about not applying too much pressure about a ring. Then, finally, on February 10, 2017 I asked the woman I love to spend the rest of her life with me

.

How He Asked

We had plans to go to Blue Ridge for the weekend and were staying at a cabin we’ve rented a few times before. I drove up that morning to prepare for our arrival, all the while Logan thought I was working. We drove back up together that afternoon and I proposed as soon as we arrived. Despite her repeatedly asking “is this really happening!?” she said yes and we couldn’t be happier.

We couldn’t imagine living life without one another. Nothing has ever felt so right. We are blessed to have such loving and supportive friends and family to share this special day with. We look forward to many more years of happiness, shared with each other and each and every one of you.
