Lexi and JJ
How We Met
JJ and Lexi were best friends for years before they started dating.
How He Asked
JJ is actually our assistant photographer and I’ve known his (now) fiance for almost a decade now! So when JJ had contacted us (my husband-Geary-and I) a month or two before he proposed, asking us if we would be there to photograph it, the answer was obviously YES. JJ had planned for Geary and I to be at Ohiopyle Park by a beautiful waterfall everyone stops during their hiking to look at. He showed up with Lexi only about 15 minutes after Geary and got set up! Geary was away on another rock to get some beautiful distance shots while I stayed on the rock JJ planned to propose to Lexi on.
As Lexi and JJ walked up, Lexi was very confused why I was there, especially with camera in hand. “Hi, Kelsa! Nice to see you! Why’re you here?!” Of course I had to play along with JJ, so I said “Oh, you know, just taking pictures of the beautiful scenery. My hubbie is around somewhere. Why don’t you guys go look out at the waterfall? I’ll get out of your way.”
Like clockwork, she bought it, smiled, and JJ led her to the rocks edge to look out at the waterfall. He got behind her a little, got down on one knee, tapped her hip, she turned and VOILA! The surprise and glee was so evident on her face! She quickly said yes (of course!) and he put the gorgeous solitaire ring on her hand! It was such a beautiful honor to be apart of such a wonderful couple’s engagement! We can’t wait for your wedding day!
