Leah and Seth
How We Met
My Fiancé, Seth, and my sister and Maid of Honor, Maggie, went to college together at LSU and were acquaintances. When Seth took a job with the Denver Broncos and moved up to Denver in March 2015, Maggie reached out to him on Facebook and they decided to go to Happy Hour. She knew Seth was single and so she asked me if I wanted to tag along. We have been together ever since!
How He Asked
Seth is the Strategic Communications Manager for the Denver Broncos and we don’t get to spend a lot of time together during football season. On Saturday, September 9, he promised we would go out on a much needed date night and told me we would go somewhere nice so I should dress up. He has an office at the Broncos Stadium, Sports Authority Field at Mile High, and asked if I would come pick him up from work before dinner. Once I arrived at the stadium, he told me to come inside because he wanted to introduce me to the ESPN Monday Night Football crew (which was a lie ha!). As we headed down to the Field, we ran into one of the Broncos photographers, Gabe, who said he was coming down to the field with us to take some pictures of the crew. I still had no idea what was going on at this point! When Seth opened the doors to go out on the field, Gabe started taking photos of me! As we walked toward the center of the field, Elvis Presley’s “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” started playing on the stadium speakers and that’s when I noticed the rose petals and champagne. Seth got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife and best friend forever and then “Will You Marry Me, Leah?” flashed on the scoreboard. I immediately said “Yes!” and started crying and that’s when my mom and sister popped out and surprised me. It was the most perfect moment! We left the stadium and had a celebratory dinner with family and friends!
