How We Met
We met on Tinder on February 22, 2016. The funny thing is that I was in Atlanta for a business trip, and he was still in Little Rock. My location just hadn’t updated, which I knew because I had seen him on Tinder a few days prior to my trip. I hadn’t ever swiped left or right on him, but since he came up while I was so far from home, I decided that I was probably at least meant to talk to him. We matched instantly! He messaged me a couple hours later, and we have messaged, talked, and/or seen each other every day since even when he was deployed to Turkey.
We met in person for the first time when I invited him over to my house for a grilled cheese on March 4th, 2016 (the eve of what was supposed to be our first date). We hung out and talked until 1 in the morning, and we still went on our date the next day! We’ve been on many adventures since then, and we are so excited about our future together!
How He Asked
We took a trip to Crater of Diamonds State Park. We were going to spend the day digging and playing in the dirt looking for diamonds and other gems/stones. As we were digging, he kept hollering out that he thought he had found something, but each time it was just a plain old rock. By the 5th time he “found” something, I was getting annoyed, but he insisted I come look at what he had “found”. He was already down on one knee, and when I approached, he held up the ring and asked me to marry him. It was cheesy in the best possible way!
