Lauren and Jordan
How We Met
We started out as friends. Dating other people, hanging around the same crowd, working together. It wasn’t until that one day we both started hanging out without the crowd, that we both realized this could be a possibility.
From Outback dates, to snow cones, anything and everything food related, our love for music, adventure, puppies, and God. We found the love we both were looking for. I am so excited that my very best friend turned out to be the love of my life, my forever adventure buddy, and will soon be my husband!
How He Asked
I went to the airport to pick up Jordan around 10:00 p.m. on Oct 27, 2016. Jordan’s best friend, Matt, wanted us to come and visit because he missed Jordan so much. So I agreed to go visit Matt for a little while since I didn’t have to work the next day.
We pull up to Matt’s. None of the lights are on. Jordan grabs me by the hand and leads me around the back of the barn to the entrance. As we walk abound back, Ellie Goulding’s “Still Falling For You,” starts playing in the woods. Jordan looks at me with a confused look. I ask him what is going on. He leads me towards the woods, where it is pitch black and we cant see anything. As we start to get closer, lights flash on. The most beautiful sight I have ever seen.
It looked like something from a Disney movie! Jordan leads me to the bench seated in the middle of the lights. He picks up the roses and hands them to me. We sit down and he tells me how much he loves me. How happy I have made him the past few years, and how excited he is to spend the rest of his life with me.
He then stands up, pulls a white box from his pocket. Gets down on one knee, and says, “Lauren Elizabeth McLeod, will you marry me?” and of course I said “YES!”
