Lauren and Jesse
How We Met: February 2, 2013 I friended my fiancé, Jesse on Facebook… And well he messaged me back asking “How I knew his cousin,” that I posted a pic with a week prior. Honestly Jesse and I should have met a million times before. One of his friends and my best friends even dated and we knew each other’s friends. Also our dads work for the same company and knew each other.
I was so nervous the first time I met Jesse outside the restaurant we were meeting at. I even waited in the parking lot till I saw his car pull in (because of course I stalked him on Facebook and saw, duh). I ran out of my car so I could be in front of the restaurant first. As he walked around the corner I couldn’t believe how cute he was. We ended up having the best first date I could ask for. We got so consumed in talking, we lost track of time and our waitress came over and told us the place was closing. I didn’t want the date to end, and apparently neither did he because he asked if I wanted to get coffee down the street at Dunkin Donuts when we left. And the rest is history..
How He Asked: My cousin Allie who is a photographer called me, and asked if Jesse and I would pose for her to expand her work portfolio. I was nervous to ask Jesse, but he said yes.. And why wouldn’t he because he set up a fake photoshoot with my cousin to catch the proposal. The crazy thing is Jesse brought me here for the first time September 29th, 2013 and I immediately fell in love with the park. It’s a beautiful and romantic secret garden. A year later- Sept 28th, 2014 he proposed here!
The photoshoot started with pics like this…
And then my cousin said to act natural and Jesse started talking to me.. I was so confused at first and thinking wow this is so cute he’s professing his love, he’s really getting into acting natural! He actually had to stop and say this isn’t for your cousin… This is all for you and I lost it.. complete utter SHOCK!!!!
