Lacey and Travis's Airplane Proposal
How We Met: Seven years ago I met the man of my dreams. I was sitting on an airplane in Las Vegas waiting to fly home to Seattle. It was late on a Sunday night and the plane was completely full. All but one passenger had boarded the plane, and the only open seat was across the isle from me. After waiting for about 15 minutes the last passenger finally got on the plane. I looked up to see a very handsome man walking towards me to the empty seat. I knew I had to find a way to talk to him. While I was brainstorming ways to strike up a conversation, I noticed he was getting tired and his head kept falling forward. Since he was the last passenger on the plane all of the pillows and blankets had already been taken. I had my “ah ha” moment, I tapped him on the shoulder and I offered him my pillow. We ended up talking for the entire two hour flight.
How He Asked: It was Sunday morning and he woke me up with a coffee in bed. He asked me if I would like to go on a drive. I got ready and we left. We arrived at a dock and there was a private float plane there waiting for us. We flew over the Seattle skyline and the puget sound. I was taking pictures of the Space Needle, and when I turned around he was down on one knee. He told me since we met on an airplane he wanted to propose to me on one. I said yes, he popped a bottle of my favorite champagne and we continued our flight to the San Juan Islands. We arrived at an old mansion hotel where we he had flowers waiting for me, lunch, a couples massage, chocolate covered strawberries and more champagne. After a romantic day we took the float plane back to Seattle.
