Kelci and Jeff
How We Met
It all started in 2011 when a mutual friend set Jeff and I up, we were getting to know each other and then I heard a rumor (stupid high school drama) and I stopped talking to him. Everyday for the next year he would stop by my locker and say hi or be flirty. But little did he know I really wished he would have stayed longer. So, right before the end of his senior year that same mutual friend told him how I still really liked him. That same night he decided to start rekindling our relationship. He went off to college, while I was finishing off my last year of high school. During that time we went through a really rough patch and almost broke up. He still says that the only reason we stayed together is because I refused to let him go, at that point he knew he had to fight for me and get his act together. Since then we have been through all of the good times and bad times together, consistently working towards being the best people we can be for each other! Now we have been together for almost 6 years and are our relationship continues to grow stronger and stronger!
How He Asked
Jeff had decided to plan a trip to Boston during Christmas time since it is his favorite holiday and my favorite city. Jeff had invited my Uncle to take our “Christmas card” pictures while in the city. During those pictures Jeff turned to me and said, “you know how much I love you, right?” “Of course,” I responded not understanding why he said that during our pictures. He then turned to me and got down on his knee saying “well how would you like to spend forever with me?” After shock, hugs, and lots of nodding my head (I couldn’t speak) he slipped the perfectly sized ring on my finger. As much as we had spoke about it in the past, I never could have imagined being engaged and how excited I would be about our future. We followed the proposal with a dinner and champagne toast he had planned, and a wonderful night in Boston. It had been a long time coming, and we are so happy and excited for knowing how great our future will be together!! Now Christmas is also my favorite holiday and Boston is also his favorite city!
