He Proposed During Their First Snowfall
how we met
The way we met was very simple but very special. I met Adam a little under 6 years ago when I was 19 and he was 22. Our two best friends were dating at the time and they decided it would be a good idea to introduce Adam and I, I’m so glad that they did because it was an instant connection, I felt like I had known him my whole life. We have been inseparable ever since. Adam was in the United States Coast Guard at the time and stationed in Miami, within the first year of dating I packed up my bags and moved to Miami to be closer to him, while I was in Miami I attended Le Cordon Blue and now I’m a pastry chef! After 5 years of being in the Coast Guard we decided as a couple that it was time to take the next step, he honorably discharged from the military, we packed our bags and headed back home to Tavares Florida. We now own a business together, CupKay’s Cakery which is a mobile cupcake truck! We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends, without them we would have never met.
how he asked
The way that he asked was more than I could have ever imagined. In January 2015 we took our first snow trip to SnowShoe Mountain West Virginia, neither of us had seen snow before and we couldn’t believe our eyes as we were driving up the mountain, it was a winter wonderland!! The snow was so white and it sparkled in the sun, it was breathtaking. My friend who introduced us was also on this trip, and she’s also the amazing photographer.
It was 4 degrees outside on the day that Adam proposed, Adam suggested an impromptu photo shoot and I was thrilled! The entire mountain was covered in white fluffy snow and it sparkled as it fell from the sky, I have never seen anything more beautiful, it was a winter wonderland. We were in the middle of our photo shoot when Adam said, “I have something I’d like to ask you”, and before I knew it he was on one knee asking me to marry him! I cannot wait to see what life has in store for us, we will never forget our first time seeing snow!
