How We Met
We met just before I started college and spent the day we met at the beach with friends. I never knew that that was the day I met my future husband! He had asked me out and we were supposed to go on our first date on a Friday but I couldn’t wait that long so I brought him to an Angles game that Wednesday. He first told me he loved me at Disneyland under the fireworks, a moment I will never forget (like in a fairy tale).
When it came time to make things official and ask me to be his girlfriend we went to a secluded beach and had a picnic of wine and chocolate covered strawberries. As the sun set into the ocean he brought out the wine glasses containing a small piece of paper asking me to be his girlfriend, and of course I said yes….I mean who would possibly say no to that.
We have now been together for three years and have endured so much together. From losses to countless first we have shared it all, now we get to share the rest of our lives together.
How He Asked
After two and a half years together he took me to Temecula and we went wine tasting (something I have always wanted to do). We did the wine tasting and hung out for a while, and I later found out he was going to do it at the beginning of the day and was too nervous at first.
After walking around the grounds he said a cheesy line to me in my ear (the way he did on our first date, the first thing that made me fall for him) and dropped to his knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.
I cried for what felt like an hour out of pure joy and bliss. To say I am excited to spend forever with this man is a major understatement.
Only thing left is to plan the wedding of my dreams with the man of my dreams and live happily ever after.
