Wedding Proposal Ideas in Asheboro Zoo Asheboro, NC

How We Met

We met in November of 2013. It was a normal morning before school. I was with my best friend in the Band Room and all of the sudden a new guy walked in. It was like a big weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I expressed to my friend how much I would like to talk to him. So I mustered the courage and walked over, that’s when the band director introduced us. We started talking and I quickly fell in love with his southern charm. His first day I offered to walk him to his classes, since it was his first day. Then that afternoon I gave him my phone and told him to put his number in “in case he needed to text me”. Then we got to know each other better and five short days later, we were dating. And the rest is history.

How He Asked

For the past few weeks, we had been planning a trip to the North Carolina Zoo. So when the day came to go, we got up and got dressed. I should have known something was up when he kept telling me my outfit looked weird, but I changed outfits until he was satisfied. So we got to the zoo, we bought the tickets and entered into the Africa Portion of the Zoo. We were looking at the elephants and I took my phone out to take pictures. I turned around to see where he went and there he was on his knee with a ring and he asked if I would marry him. I stared at him with a blank face because I was in so much shock until he asked me “so, is that a yes?” That is when it hit me and I smiled and said “Duh”. He never wanted to propose in public or hire a photographer, but that’s what I have always wanted. I was so happy to see that he went out of his comfort zone to make my dreams come true.
