Jordan and Logan's Park City Marriage Proposal

Park City Ski Proposal (18)

How We Met

How we met. It’s kind of a funny story. January 9th, 2010 was Jordan’s seventeenth birthday. We were meeting up that night to go on a double date, but not with each other. He was supposed to meet my best friend, and I was supposed to meet his. I remember walking up to them both, seeing Jordan and feeling like I was already in love. Neither one of us was interested in who we were set up with, and we all went our separate ways after that night. Six months later, Jordan was driving down the road when he saw me on a run, and pulled his truck over. That’s where it all began and we’ve been inseparable ever since. He asked me to be his girlfriend one day on a bridge in LA, so bridges are pretty significant to us. Five and a half years later, he asked me to be his wife.

How He Asked

Jordan asked me to fly to Salt Lake City with him to meet with a client on a job walk, and then spend the rest of the day in Park City with him afterwards (this is a totally typical thing for us to do). When we landed, his dad called him and said the meeting was canceled, and that we had the day to ourselves (little did I know that there was never a job walk in the first place). We decided to drive straight into Park City, where we grabbed some lunch and walked around the town, taking in Park City’s beauty and talking about our future together. He told me that there was a spot filled with snow he saw on our drive up that he wanted to take me to, so we got in the car and began driving. We pulled into a huge dirt parking lot, where I laughed and asked him “Where’s the snow?” to which he responded, “Just follow me.”

We walked along a path, holding each other, as he told me how much he’s loved me over the past five and a half years, and how he never wants to imagine his life without me in it. When we turned the corner, my heart was beating and stopping all at the same time. I saw the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life – snowy mountains, a white barn, an old ski lift bench and flowers everywhere. It was a dream. We walked across a bridge together that was wrapped in twine with photos of us throughout the years. He grabbed both my hands, looked at me deeper than he’s ever looked at me before, and got down on one knee. I don’t remember anything he said or I said, all I remember is how I felt. And I will never forget that moment for the rest of my life.
