Jenna and Michael
How We Met
We met online using Ok Cupid. Mike messaged me when I first signed up for the website and I ignored him. I actually ignored everyone at that time because I wasn’t sure I was ready to trust the site. But Mike was persistent and messaged me again about 2 weeks later. After stalking him, I figured he was a nice enough guy and was clearly interested so I messaged him back and we started talking. It wasn’t until a month later that we actually had our first date. After that we started seeing each other on a weekly basis and talking everyday.
We made it official and the rest is history.
How He Asked
After spending the day furniture shopping for our new home, Mike pulled off the road to stop for gas. He left the car and when he came back told me that he’d left his wallet inside the gas station.
At the time I didn’t understand why he was so calm about losing his wallet. I would’ve been flipping out. He asked me to get out of the car, to help him find it. We were about to open the doors to the gas station convenience store when Mike showed me that he had found his wallet and had also found something else in his pocket. He handed me a little blue box with a bow around it. After I unfroze , he got down on one knee and proposed.
The gas station proposal was based on the The Office. Jim proposes to Pam at a gas station in the rain. It wasn’t raining this day but it was perfect.
