Jeannette and Taylor

How We Met: Believe it or not, I ran into Taylor at a keg party back on the lovely beach street of Wilmington, N.C. He swept me off my feet from the first day I met him and after dancing at many beach bars, enjoying baja fish tacos and unlimited laughs, college was over for Taylor and I was still in school. One day, he told me that he decided to stay in Wilmington until I was done with school…”we were having way too much fun!”  After my graduation, Taylor and I moved to Washington, D.C. where he attended grad school and I became a luxury event planner.

Although we were busy making our mark in the District, we never stopped having fun! We travel, we experience, we eat, we dance in the middle of the street and most of all, we love each other to death, we honestly never get tired of each other! We have officially been dating 8 years going on 9 and it feels like I just met him yesterday! He still gives me butterflies every time he walks in the house!

How He Asked: Taylor popped the question while we were vacation in Southern Spain this summer! We go every summer to visit my family in Portugal, but always take a side trip prior! This time, we conquered Sevilla, and Granada Spain! After a relaxing day jetsetting around Granada, we got tickets to the Alhambra the most breathtaking location in all of Southern, Spain!

While touring the generalife gardens, Taylor got down on one knee and told me he wanted to continue having fun with me for the rest of my life and popped the question!

Taylor flew two of my favorite photographers + friends from Portugal to capture the day of video and photography. That night to celebrate we ate dinner in a magical garden in the hidden street of Granada and facetimed all of our loved ones with the amazing good news!

The next day we flew to Portugal to see my entire family to celebrate! Although I am a planner, Taylor truly out-did himself! He planned every detail and the ring… well the ring is seriously remarkable!
