Hannah and Charles

He hadn’t told me what we were going to be doing the rest of the day, because I told him I wanted it to be a surprise.

After we got home, he told me that he had gotten us a penthouse suite at the MGM, and that we had reservations to the Tea Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel (where I have wanted to go for so long!) We got to the hotel, and I suggested that we do our gifts then, but he insisted that we wait until we went to the tea room.

We took a cab to the tea room, and as we walked in, we were led to a table with champagne glasses and a rose on it. It was so beautiful! The woman came over and we ordered a bottle of champagne (I felt so fancy!) I gave him his anniversary gifts first, and then it was his turn.

He picked up a little bag from the floor, and began to pull something out of it. “This is something that I know you have wanted for awhile, and I have wanted to give you for awhile.” At that moment I think I blacked out for about five seconds. “Will you marry me?” I immediately started to cry, I was in such shock! I of course said YES and hugged him and kissed him. Then I noticed that there was a man taking our pictures. My amazing fiancé had hired a photographer to capture the entire thing! We then proceeded to take some more pictures with the photographer outside (my face hurt from smiling so much!).

Once we went back into the lounge, we were moved to a table next to the window with a gorgeous view of the Las Vegas strip, where we took the next few hours tip sip tea and Champagne, and call all of our friends and family! It was the most magical proposal and I wouldn’t change one thing about it! He did perfect!
