Diego and Jessica's Cliff Marriage Proposal at Sunset
How We Met: You know how they say “whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas..” Well this is not always true, at least not for us. That’s right, we met in Sin City! The place that everyone goes to party and have a good time. Definitely not the ideal place to look for romance. What was suppose to be an amazing last night of partying turned out to be the night that we both crossed paths. As my girlfriend and I were walking towards the bar, ignoring all the typical Vegas boys that want to have your attention. My now fiancée happened to walk passed my friend and I, attempting to make an exit with a friend because apparently they were not interested in hanging out at the club. As his friend and him walked past us, I turned to my girlfriend and mentioned to her how one of the guys was cute. I turned to point out “this guy,” and he happens to be looking back at me. In shock and embarrassment I quickly had my friend walk towards the bar only to have him follow me back. I am beyond happy that he did because that was the beginning of an amazing new chapter in our lives.
How He Asked: What was suppose to be a fancy dinner date turned out to be the most beautiful and unforgettable day of my life. From beginning to end, all of the small details played such an important role. Having someone you love ask you to close your eyes as they want to walk you out to the “restaurant” where he had a reservation is not a typical question, but why not have a good time and go for it. As we are walking to the “restaurant” I begin to question exactly where we were heading. I thought to myself this is definitely no indoor dinning, more so a hot air balloon ride type of date because I smelled candles. As I begin to get overwhelmed with the anxiety of not knowing What was going on he asked me to open my eyes.
What I immediately see is a beautiful set up that had a path with rose pedals and candles leading to a picnic with a breathtaking view of the ocean.
It had pictures that represented so much to us, including our first picture ever of when we met in Sin City; I was speechless.
Little did I know that my fiancée who I always teased about not being a romantic had been planning this for weeks. He did such an amazing job incorporating so many details; having Samantha capture our special moment was beyond special.
