Dianna and Hudson

Where to Propose in The Warehouse Ministry

How We Met

The story of Dianna is a story of how the Lord can bring two people together in the oddest of circumstances. It started when I came to a coffee shop called the Warehouse ministries in Forsyth Ga. I was 17 years old and I went to a church service and encountered the Lord for the first time and started a personal relationship with Him. That was the night I met Dianna she encouraged me and pushed me to pursue the Lord. Six months later I asked her father if I could date her. Our story started there, we spent time together and bonded as we were in ministry together. I led a men’s ministry for three years while she was the director of the fine arts ministry. As time went on everything was wonderful. We were in ministry together and every day I was falling more and more in love with her. Fast forward. I started planning out getting a ring and thinking of a way to propose. A few months later I found a way to accidentally propose. Now, let me explain what I mean before you start thinking, “wow this guy.” So, I found a song on the internet called Potter and Friend by Dante Bowe. I thought this song is great Dianna should perform a dance to it. Then I thought why don’t I do the dance with her. Really, the idea of proposing never occurred to me until we started practicing the dance and she explained the vision of it. She said, “I see this dance as our story. How you became a Christian, how we met, and how we’re in ministry together now. So I thought this is perfect I’ll propose after the dance. It would be like opening up the next chapter. So I paid two photographers, planned for her to get her nails done (secretly), and talked her out of believing I was proposing after the dance. Weeks to follow I set up a time for us to dance and for me to speak at the Warehouse. We performed the dance which told our story and afterwards I got down on my knee, asked her to marry me, and opened up the next chapter of our lives together. We’re happier than ever. Proverbs 18:22
