Cristina and Mark
How We Met
Three years ago, on November 21, 2012, as luck would have it, our lives crossed paths. Our first date was at a Cuban restaurant which was eventful with salsa dancing. Life seemed to fall into place for both of us after that. After traveling around the world, trying different foods, making and maintaining friendships, becoming close with one another’s families, learning more about each other and growing as individuals- we decided it was time to get married to make our lives one.
How He Asked
In April of 2015, Mark planned the trip of a lifetime to Paris. It was my first trip to Europe and Mark wanted to make it memorable. Mark proposed to me on the Pont De Bir-Hakeim overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Every girl hears stories about Paris being the most romantic city in the world; I would have never dreamed that I would be so blessed to meet someone who would go through such great lengths to make sure our proposal was a fairytale. After a heartwarming speech, Mark told me he wanted to be my best friend for life. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Following the proposal, Mark took me to a restaurant called, Le Castel Café and explained to me that he chose a Princess Cut Diamond to remind me every day that I will always be his Princess.
Mark prepared a champagne toast at the top of the Eiffel Tower, then he took me to the Pont Des Arts to lock our love. To end the proposal day, Mark reserved a dinner cruise on the Seine River. We ended our night cruising by the sparkling Eiffel Tower. Mark’s proposal was the most thoughtful and well planned out proposal I could have ever possibly dreamed.
