Colin and Paige
how we met
This Georgia Peach met her Man From a Beach through the game of love. My friend transferred from the University of Georgia tennis team to Colin’s tennis team at Georgia Tech. Colin and I met through our mutual friend and the rest is history. Within our first week of dating, we went on four dates, and here we are two years later!
how he asked
Colin planned every detail of the proposal for a total of six months. He proposed in the romantic city of Savannah, Georgia in front of the fountain at Forsyth Park. Colin told me we were taking pictures with Rad Red for a couples session for their portfolio.
The photographer had us pose back to back and as soon as I turned around Colin was down on one knee. With tears in his eyes, Colin told me, “The past 2 years have been amazing and I want to wake up next to you every morning for the rest of my life.”
As soon as I turned around I cried and said yes. Colin invited my family, his family, his best friend, and my best friend to the proposal, but he told them they had to hide in the park. As soon as I said yes they started coming towards us to see the future Mr. and Mrs. Edwards!
I had no clue our family and friends were also staying at River Street Inn for the entire weekend. After the proposal, Colin rented out the top floor Of Elizabeth’s on 37th for an engagement party.
We announced to his best friend (who flew in from California) he will be our Best Man. I also announced to my best friend she will be my Maid of Honor. The night was full of delicious southern food and champagne toasts. Colin truly planned out every detail and it was the BEST weekend of my life!
