Christy and John Mark
How We Met
We met through mutual friends who happened to be brothers. Christy worked with one of the brothers and John Mark lived above one of the brothers on E 4th. After several attempts of trying to make an introduction, John Mark took it upon himself to send a friend request on Facebook and sent Christy a message. The rest as they say … is history.
How He Asked
John Mark proposed on Friday, October 13th. This date happened to be his parent’s wedding anniversary, Christy’s Grandpa’s ‘lucky day’, and John Mark’s brother proposed to his now wife on Friday the 13th. John Mark had just picked up the ring that Wednesday, and was excited to propose sooner than later. Friday ended up being an absolute gorgeous day. John Mark had made plans for a night out at the Winery’s in Geneva, Ohio. It just so happened that John Mark’s and Christy’s parents were out to dinner that evening celebrating their anniversary. We arrived at Laurentia for dinner and a glass of wine, enjoying the scenery and relaxing from a busy week. We then headed over to South River, bought a bottle of our favorite white wine and found a spot near the fireplace. As the night went by, the crowd started to get smaller and smaller until it was just us. We moved over to the fire, enjoying conversation, and a peaceful and beautiful setting. John Mark got down on one knee and asked “how does forever sound?”
