Chloe and Robert
How we met
Robert: It was my first winter in Charlotte and I was just starting to adjust to life in the new city. My priorities at the time had been finding the best pizza shop in town, catching a few Bobcats (Hornets) games with the boys, and advancing in my profession. Falling in love was slightly lower on my list of priorities, that was, until I met Chloe.
We hit it off immediately and never looked back. Together we are each others travel companion, movie date, dining partner, adventure buddy, support system, and best friend. I am so excited to marry the woman of my dreams and could not imagine my life without her!
Chloe: On November 29th, 2012 I woke up and thought I would have a pretty typical day, little did I know that my life would change forever that day. I knew Bob was someone special from the very beginning and couldn’t wait to see what the future would hold for us!
Once Bob and I started dating we were inseparable. Bob moved to Chicago that first summer and I spent all my time flying back and forth to see him even if it was only for a few hours; I knew he was worth it.
Fast forward three years and we are finally together and both just finished studying at the University of Georgia. I am so lucky to have the love of my life by my side supporting me in this crazy journey. I cannot wait to see what the rest of our lives have in store for us!
How he asked
Chloe: On February 6, 2016 I woke up excited and nervous. I had been scheming with Robert’s sister to have them come to Charlotte for a surprise birthday party, or so I thought! Fast forward to after breakfast, I thought I was killing time by taking Robert to Freedom Park to give his family time to get to my parents house from the airport.
Little to my knowledge the whole weekend I had planned was fake! The whole time Robert had been planning a surprise proposal! He proposed in Freedom Park with just the two of us and I was so shocked.
It was intimate, sweet and just perfect. After the proposal Robert was still tricking me into thinking had no idea I was planning him a “surprise” birthday party but when we got to my parents house all of our closest friends and family were there waiting to celebrate our engagement! There was even a huge sign saying “Bob asked…Chloe said yes!” That weekend was a complete surprise and one of my most cherished memories!
