Chelsea and Zach

Wedding Proposal Ideas in Klamath Falls

How We Met

It started when we were 13. We both had junior high crushes, but when freshman year came Zach moved away. I was sad but understood. We stayed in touch, but eventually just became typical Facebook friends that liked the occasional post. Fast forward to 2016. A message was sent about where to ride dirtbikes, and one thing led to another and we decided to meet up. I drove the 2.5 hours to see him. I knew the minute I saw him I was going to fall for him. He had just purchased a motorcycle the days before and we were going to ride with his dad the next day.

How He Asked

We ended up riding 350+ miles! It was so uncomfortable but I was happy to be with him. We rode the bike frequently that summer. We traveled back and forth until we both decided he should move in. With 2017 we had hoped to travel lots with my daughter, and we did. We ended up riding 350+ miles! It was so uncomfortable but I was happy to be with him. We rode the bike frequently that summer. We had an adult trip planned for August. It went nothing as planned. We were hit by a drunk driver while riding the same motorcycle we had our first date on. My arm and leg ripped from my body lying in the road. Zach laying 10 feet away with a broken femur. He has seen me at my worst. We were sent to separate hospitals, me 5 hours away. I had a tube in my throat and was unable to talk, but I wrote in a notebook.

I wrote Zach was gonna leave, no one would love me, and that I wouldn’t walk down the aisle. I was wrong. He fought to get to me as fast as he could. He made it to my side 6 days later and stayed in an armchair. After a month in the hospital, I was released. We had a benefit dinner a few weeks later. I was completely surprised when he got down on one knee and proposed in front of Everyone! It hasn’t been easy, he had to do a lot. Losing my arm and leg changed how we do life. He stepped up more than anyone could expect. My family loves him but the burden of our September 2018 wedding falls on us. He wants it to be a dream, but all I want to do is marry the guy that shows me what love is every day.
