How We Met

Kenneth and I actually met on a dating app in January 2017. I was visiting my grandpa in the hospital in Arkansas, but living in Texas at the time. I downloaded the app to kill some time while sitting in the hospital and had no intentions of actually meeting someone. My grandpa sadly passed away that night. Not long after that, I received a message from Kenneth, but wasn’t up for talking. He understood and let me have the night to be with my family. The next morning, I woke up to a message from Kenneth checking on me. He continually checked on me while I drove back to Texas, he made sure I was eating, and truly cared about my well being. A week later, he came down to Texas to spend his birthday with me and the rest is history! People say that my grandpa was the one to make this happen and that he sent me an angel on Earth and I couldn’t agree more ❤️

How He Asked

Kenneth told me back in September that he wanted to take a trip with me in November. After a few ideas were tossed around, we ended up picking San Francisco. It’s one of my favorite places and I hadn’t been since I was in Middle school. Kenneth knows I’m obsessed with sailboats so he arranged a private sailboat cruise on the bay for our last night there. We passed under the Golden Gate Bridge and we sailed near Kirby Cove where the water was calmer. Kenneth asked me to walk to the front of the boat for some pictures together and proposed right there with the Golden Gate Bridge behind us! It was so special and it meant a lot that he incorporated what he knew I liked.
