Cailey and Quinton

How We Met

Quinton (Q) and I matched on Bumble in January 2017. I had tried the online dating world and had almost sworn it off, but told myself I’d give it one last try. In the short time frame that I allowed myself to swipe, Q and I matched and starting talking. He seemed genuine, funny, and like a great guy in our conversations and soon enough I was trying to get him to ask me out! We went on our first date the next week and he always jokes that he knew I was the right one when I grabbed the beer menu before he could. A couple days later, we went ice skating in our town and spent hours walking around, hand-in-hand, talking! We had a movie night a few days after that and only about two weeks into our relationship, he met my family!

How He Asked

We were on a trip to Nashville with my family for a summer vacation. My dad suggested we plan the first day of activities since we had been to the city before. Quinton (Q) whispered in my ear “the Pedestrian Bridge” and I shared that with my family. We started there on Friday morning. Everything seemed like normal sightseeing with Q and my brother taking pictures of the scenery. Q had asked me to carry his memory card “wallet” and an extra camera battery in my purse and by the time we reached the top of the bridge, he asked me to help him get a new memory card out because his was already full.

As he went to remove the “full card”, I grabbed the wallet and opened it up and inside was the ring!!!!! I was so surprised and excited! My whole family was there to witness it and to capture it on camera! He got down on one knee and told me he was sick of calling me his girlfriend and then said my name whole name and I kind of went blank, but made sure to say yes when he asked me if I would make him the happiest man in the world and marry him!
