Bryanna and Taylor's Proposal at the Navy Pier in Chicago

Proposal at the Navy Pier in Chicago

How We Met

Two years ago, I started working at the Boys and Girls Club. First day of work, I met Taylor and told myself “He’s it. That’s the guy I’m going to marry”. (Yeah the “love at first sight” thing is true sometimes) Taylor played hard to get, but finally gave in and gave me his number. Months passed (6 to be exact) before he finally asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history :)

How He Asked

Taylor had a week long work conference in Chicago, and I got to go along. We took in a couple Cubs playoff games, did the whole tourist thing at the museums, Skydeck, and the aquarium, and headed to Navy Pier for supper (or so I thought). We found a spot with an absolutely breathtaking view and decided to stop and look out over the water and started to talk about our future. I’m still absolutely clueless to what is happening, until Taylor is down on one knee (cue ugly cry). I couldn’t believe it! I admired the ring–it’s perfect– and Taylor pointed to a tree behind us. Out popped George, our amazing photographer!
