Wedding Proposal Ideas in Central Park

On St. Patrick’s Day in 2013, I attended the parade in Manhattan. One of my friends told me that her boyfriend was bringing a new friend with him who was recently single. Once I saw Eric, I knew I wanted to get to know him! We had a few drinks and really enjoyed each other’s company. We hung out together all Summer and finally, on November 10th, we officially started dating. We’ve been together for the past 4 years and they have been the best 4 years of my life. We’ve traveled to various cities around the world and it seems like each trip is more memorable than the last. On October 21st of this year, Eric told me that we were going to Central Park for dinner at the Loeb Boathouse for an early anniversary gift. When we walked into the park, Eric said he wanted to take me to a specific location which overlooks the water and the city skyline. Once we reached the Gapstow Bridge, he started telling me how much I meant to him. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said YES! After the proposal, Eric told me that we were going to head back home to one of our favorite restaurants in Staten Island. Instead, we drove up to my house and our closest family and friends were there for a surprise celebration! It was the perfect end to an unforgettable day.
