Bianca and Vishal
I went camping in West Virginia with my friends. During that weekend, Vishal and his parents flew in from London to New Jersey. The entire weekend I thought that I had terrible reception, hence why I was having a hard time getting in touch with Vishal. I enjoyed myself, but I was missing him more than ever. I returned to work on Monday morning, June 15th, 2015. It was a stressful Monday at the office, one where I was asked to stay longer than expected. I agreed to take a freelance job later that evening, one in which my mom referred me to. I thought I would be reporting on an event that was taking place at Rutgers Gardens. I hadn’t suspected a thing during the drive down with my dad until I heard UsTheDuo’s “No Matter Where You Are” come on the radio. I knew this was no accident. I asked him why he was playing this song, and he being the bad liar he is said with a big grin, “because I like it!” As soon as we pulled up to the gazebo where I’d been instructed to go to, I knew that the event was for me.
The gazebo was decorated very beautifully with balloons, flowers, candles, cupcakes and drinks. I couldn’t have made it more beautiful myself. Before I could turn around my dad was gone and Vishal was in front of me. I knew what was about to happen but I was just so happy to have him in front of me.
He told me how much he loved me and how lucky he would be if he could spend the rest of his life with me trying his best to make me the happiest man in the world, thats right…man. I guess he was nervous!
After I said yes, our families who had been standing by behind me came and congratulated us. Mondays don’t get any more magical than that.
