Bianca and Jacques' Proposal In Thailand
How We Met: Here is our little fairy tale. We met on the 22nd of February 2011. Lets just say love at first sight! We went to the same high school but he was second year university student and still practicing Javelin at school when one day during class we walk past each other and I immediately fell in love. I was going through my awkward teen stage so neither of us approached each other.
After 2 days we were introduced to each other by my friend which knew him. We went on our first date the following Friday. We were madly in love. After 2months he asked me to be his girlfriend through a note in my chemistry book. We have been together ever since.
How He Asked: Jacques took me ring fitting in July 2014, so obviously a girl will think the big question is around the corner, but in this case he had me waiting for six months after the ring fitting…so as I am, I am very curious and after four months have past and no proposal yet, I was getting frustrated and looking for hints, so he may have slipped that if he were ever to propose he will do it where it is quite hot, and we were planning on going to Phuket, Thailand in December 2014, so I immediately assume it will happen in Phuket….
Finally we have arrived in Phuket so every day was quite a mission to do the hair and make-up for when he pops the question… again had me waiting until the last minute! Finally I had run out of make-up and hair product, my perfect acrylic nails was growing out and still no proposal. I honestly thought he wasn’t going to propose anymore and have made peace with the fact that one day I will have my big white wedding with him.
We went for 10 days and on the 9th day we went for lunch at the local restaurant on the beach…hottest day ever! After the lunch he asked that we take some photos on the beach, while I was getting very irritated with the hot weather and my step-father taking photos all of a sudden he went down on one knee looked me in the eyes and popped the big question!!
Also asked me on my full names which was heavy embarrassing and with no make-up and terrible hair it was by far the greatest moment of my life. The moment when my best friend dropped to one knee and ask me to spend the rest of my life with him.
I was shaking and crying, I was totally blown away!
