How We Met

Jordan and I grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and met in high school 6 years ago during finals week. I was his first and only girlfriend, now his fiancé. Once finals were over we began talking more seriously, but Jordan wanted to meet with my dad to ask his approval to date me. This was the first sign of a real keeper ;) After he survived the meeting with my father, he decided to take me on a date. We both love tennis, so he decided it would a fun activity to help break the ice. Looking back on it, the way he asked me to be his girlfriend was super cheesy but I thought it was adorable at the time. Once we got on the court he handed me a tennis ball with words written on it: “will you be my girlfriend?”. I blushed and ran around the net to accept his cute invitational. 6 years later he’s still my goofball, a handsome one at that!

How He Asked

He created an elaborate plan to go on a photoshoot for a local, creative magazine with one of our photographer friends. The original plan was to journey to several different locations, but we first stopped on the side of the road next to a beautiful, bare, old oak tree. Shortly after, he got on one knee and I realized this was not the typical photoshoot.

The next hour after that is all a blissful blur! Once we finished taking pictures, he surprised me again with a beautiful, cozy celebration in downtown Thomasville, Georgia. All of our closest friends and family were there to celebrate with us on this perfect evening. He is the love of my life and I cannot wait to marry my high school sweetheart!!
